Following on from the opening race of this year’s Formula 1 season the second event is to take place in Saudi Arabia on the weekend starting March 25th. After the races in Bahrain, we are more than excited to see how this season progresses and we’d wager you feel the same. Speaking of wagers if you’re new to F1 betting read on for some great Saudi GP betting tips.

Saudi GP History

The first Saudi Grand Prix was the second-last race of last year’s Formula 1 season and took place at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit along the shore of the Red Sea. This 6.174km circuit was first won by Lewis Hamilton joined by Maz Verstappen and Valterri Bottas on the podium. There was a lot of criticism aimed at the Grand Prix from Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International on the ground of Human Rights abuse in Saudi Arabia. The race track was designed by Carsten Tilke, son of famous driver and circuit designer Hermann Tilke.

Bahrain GP Overview

The event in Bahrain last week finished with some shock results from drivers and their teams of whom we would have expected a strong start. Of the 3 players that failed to finish the race 2 of them were the only Red Bull drivers taking part, last year’s F1 Driver Champion Max Verstappen and 4th place Sergio Perez.

Podium positions came in on Sunday with Lewis Hamilton in 3rd, Carlos Sainz Jr in 2nd and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc in 1st. But who will be stood above all others this coming Sunday?

Betting on the Saudi Grand Prix

If you are hoping to get lucky with a flutter on the upcoming racing weekend, but are new to the concept of F1 betting then this should help. The options included on the Saudi Grand Prix bets are based on more than the winning driver and car.

There are of course the Outright bets on who will win, great for newcomers however these bets will not offer the best returns. Greater odds can be found on bets relating to practice winners, winning margins, podium positions and qualifiers. More often the best odds on Formula 1 bets are available by guessing the number of cars to retire, meaning fail to finish the race.

If you’re looking for a site to bet on then our sports betting page boasts some of the best sites in the market align with reviews, rankings and of course the bonuses available.

Saudi GP tips

After the surprise result of last weekend and this early on in the competition, nothing can be said for sure as to how the Saudi Grand Prix will finish. Red Bull should now have had time to sort any issues with the driver or car going ahead and after last year’s performance, Maz Verstappen would be a confident bet. This is only the 2nd Saudi Grand Prix and last year saw 5 drivers unable to finish, it is possible at least 3 will go the same way this year.
